What is embroidery? Embroidery is the art or process of forming decorative designs with hand or machine needlework.
Does SD Custom Treasures do hand or machine embroidery? We do machine embroidery only. I mean, I’m crazy enough making handmade lace!
What can I put embroidery on? Just about anything you want. Shirts, towels, patches, aprons, key chains (just to name a few).
Isn’t embroidery just for kids’ clothes or sports gear? No, there are millions of designs you can pick from, add a name to something, or put a quote on something. People of all ages like embroidered items.
Will you embroider something with a Disney character or sports team on it for me? No, due to copyright laws. We don’t embroider anything that will infringe on any copyrights or trademarks.
Is there anything you will not embroider on? Not really, but let’s talk and if it can be done, we will do it.
I want an embroidered towel, but I’m afraid to use it. Isn’t it decoration only? If it is your towel, go ahead and use it. If the embroidery is done properly, it will not unravel. However, with excessive use, it can. If it is a towel embroidered by SD Custom Treasures and it does unravel, send us a picture to let us know and we will be glad to discuss a replacement.
Isn’t getting something embroidered expensive? Sometimes it can get expensive. It all depends on what you want done. Our products start at $10 and go up from there.
Will SD Custom Treasures embroider something for me? YES! Let us know what you want, and we will work up a quote for you. And you can pick the colors of thread that is being used as well.
I looked through your designs, but I don’t see what I want, or I have a specific design (logo) I’m wanting. Can you do it for me? Yes, we can. If needed, we will have it digitized (turned into an embroidery file) and then we can produce it for you (there may be additional fees). Unless there is a copyright or trademark on it.
How does the custom order process work?
- Send an email to sdcustomtreasures@gmail.com
- Give us some details on what you are wanting, such as what garment, how many, and attach a logo or picture.
- We will email you to let you know we received your request and to ask some clarifying questions as needed.
- Once we have all the details, we will send you a quote and mock-up of what you are looking for.
- When you decide if you would like to proceed, accept or decline the quote. This will let us know what you have decided.
- If you accept the quote, it will be converted into an invoice, and you should pay the invoice.
- Once we receive payment, your order will be started.
- We will be in communication with you as we work through your order.
How quickly can I get my item? In a normal one-item order, after the quote is approved and the item is paid for, shipping usually occurs within 10 business days. There can be a small delay if we need to get a logo turned into an embroidery file or if we do not have the garment in stock. If you need it faster, let us know. However, there is a minimum $25 express fee per item.
I have received my item, but I don’t like it or it does not fit. Can I return an embroidered item? Since this made based on your specific request, is a personalized item, or due to sanitary reasons, it is non-returnable and non-refundable. Before we stitch out anything, we will do a mock up and email it to you and wait for your final approval. However, if we make a mistake or it is damaged in shipping, we will gladly remake the item for you at no additional cost.
Do you offer coupons or discounts? Currently, only if we are making 50 or more identical items. The discount will be indicated on the quote and invoice.
